Anushka Shetty was born on November -7,1981 in a bunt family of bellipady in Manglore. She finished her education in Bangalore.
Anushka took deeksha from her guru Bharath Thakur(Husband of Actress Bhumika), he gave her guru mantra and she used to practice that every day.Then Anushka learnt Yoga and she became Yoga instructor too.
On March 12th 2005 Anushka came infront of camera for first shot of Super. She has changed her name from Sweety to Anushka (She was thinking of smrithi) in the Entry film Super.
“In the initial days she was crying as she felt guilty as she is not delivering what she has to deliver in the films” innocently quoted in Jayapradam. Anushka said as telugu industry is her home and she is very partial about that she said in the same interview.
Anushka Shetty was introduced by Nagarjuna to Telugu Movie industry in the film Super Directed by Puri Jagannath. The same year She acted a film Mahanandi with Sumanth which is really feel good Movie.
The very next year means in 2006 Anushka acted in Vikramarkudu, Astram which is a remake of Bollywood movie Sarfarosh,Later she worked in tamil film Rendu and guest appearance in Stalin.
In 2007 Anushka was shared the screen with Gopichand in Lakshyam and again with Nagarjuna in Don.
In 2008 Anushka acted 6 Telugu films.
In the very beginning of 2009 i.e. on 16th January 2009, Arundhati released, the name and fame of anushka was doubled with this movie. Anushka stamped her image in the hearts of telugu people. Her performance, as Jejamma in particular, was highly critically acclaimed and fetched her first Nandi Award and the Filmfare Best Actress Award.
Imediately Anushka worked in Billa where she acted along with Prabhas.Then sweety acted in tamil movie Vettaikaaran and won an award.
In 2010 till now she appeared in 5 films like kedi, Singam (Tamil Movie), Vedam, Panchakshari, Takita Takita. And khaleja yet to release….
